Synopsis[]

When Mum throws out Henry's lucky thing, he's convinced he's going to be unlucky forever. But then, he discovers that lucky is as lucky does.

Plot[]

When Mum accidentally throws out Henry's Lucky Thing, is he doomed for misfortune? Henry who yells, 'Noooo!!!' to the beginning of the episode. Henry went to Ashton Primary School and he felt disappointed and Rude Ralph is arrived. Ralph uses his fart in a can trick but Henry wasn't laughing after Mum threw his lucky thing, Al heard the news then spreads the word to William who cries, Graham says he lost his lucky thing once but Brian tells them there's no such thing as luck because his Dad says it's all superstitions and Ralph assured Henry he'll be just fine without his lucky thing. Henry didn't think so and told his friends everything was fine yesterday due to the things he does like laying in, making pancakes and watching TV for a whole hour but now Mum threw his lucky thing away making his life over.

Henry walks into the school but then he accidentally knocks Mr Soggington's cup out of his hand getting him and Miss Lovely covered in coffee and then he gets sent to detention by Mr Soggington. After that, Henry comes to lunch and takes a set as Ralph asked him how was his long detention assuming he'd be out by breaktime and Henry says it's just not his lucky day. Ralph brings all of his and their friends' lucky things to cheer up Henry but he didn't want any of them so they all take them back. While Ralph goes to some lunch for Henry, Andrew tells him his mum says 'Lucky is as Lucky does!' but Henry asked what does it mean and Bert says 'I dunno'. Ralph comes back with lunch which is stew every day much for Henry's dismay.

Just then, Margaret, Susan and Soyara turn up after hearing about Henry's lucky thing and laughs then leaves. As the bell rings, Henry wonders how much unlucky he's going to get today and Bert says 'I dunno'. Suddenly Henry makes the plate of stew fly in the air and Greasy Greta catches the plate but the stew hits the grounds and she makes Henry clean it up then hands him a mop. Henry steps into the bucket of soapy water making him groan in frustration. Later, Henry joins his classmates in the library where Miss Lovely was reading them a story when Margaret sees him and scrunches up a paper ball and throws it at him but misses. As Henry takes his seat, Margaret throws an eraser at his shoulder making him get trouble with Miss Lovely.

Miss Lovely continues reading as Margaret and Susan call Henry unlucky making him scowl at them. Miss Lovely finishes reading and tells the children to write 300 lovely words on what the Poppy princess and the cucumber king should do with the burdensome beans. Andrew asked what does it mean and Bert said 'I dunno' but Graham says he wouldn't half those kinds of beans. Miss Lovely signals Henry to come over and he tells his friends to wish him luck but Margaret and Susan said 'Unlucky Henry' again.

Before Miss Lovely was about to say about this morning, Henry apologies to her for spilling tea on her but luckily she knew a carpet cleaner who good at removing coffee stains. Henry then apologies for interrupted her story but Miss Lovely told him it wasn't his fault because she saw Margaret throwing stuff at him and plans to have a lovely word with her later. Miss Lovely whispered she heard Henry lost his lucky thing because teachers have ways of hearing things but she tells him that Peter told her and he was very upset about his life being over. Henry says he was being a bit over dramatic about it but Miss Lovely says a lucky thing is very important and lovely thing and losing it is not a lovely thing. So Miss Lovely gave Henry a replacement pink lucky thing from her draw so he reluctantly takes and hides it then thanks her. Miss Lovely tells Henry to go write her 50 words on his favourite TV programme and then angrily calls Margaret by her full name to have a word.

While walking home after school, Henry and Ralph spot Ms Tiddler and her dog, Tiddles walks up to smell his shoe and walk away to wee on the tree instead. The boys high five when they spot a something shiny and Henry goes to pick it up as the black car drives over a puddle but didn't get him wet. Henry finds a gold coin and keeps it as Ralph says that was lucky too just then a bird fly and its poops lands on the ground not the boys. Henry and Ralph see a white limo and Fizz Whizz McTizz asked them directions to the Crooked Corner. Ralph tells her to go up there, round a bit and up more then go back round. Fizz says that's amazing and lucky she found the boys and as she drives off, Henry and Ralph were surprised that was her. Then the white car reserves back and Angus Airbrain the Third gives the number to get free tickets.

As they drive away again, Henry says 'Cool. And thank you' to them as Ralph said they were the band of the Killer Boy Rats and tells Henry he's lucky then goes home. Henry pulls out the pink lucky thing Miss Lovely gave him and wonders it had something to do with luck he's getting then he reaches to his house where he sees the black limo remembering Rich Aunt Ruby and Stuck Up Steve were coming for tea. As Henry passes Eustacious, he asked the audience if they can believe how unlucky he is but then he finds that Ruby and Steve are not staying to tea when Dad opens the door to see them off before she kisses him. They pass Henry and enter their limo as Eustacious drives off, Dad told Henry how lucky that Rich Aunt Ruby forget she was going to another tea party and Mum is making cheese toaties for tea to celebrate which pleases him knowing it's his favourite. Henry still doesn't think it's his new pink lucky thing and hurries to the kitchen as Mum shows him his old lucky thing she found but Henry says he doesn't need it back and throws it away in the bin telling her 'Lucky is as Lucky does'. Mum asked what does it mean and Henry had no idea but he thinks it makes sense somehow and asked the audience if they reckon so too then winks ending the episode.
