Synopsis[]

Peter and Henry are playing at being gardeners, but the results are disastrous when nature starts to take over. Henry has a nightmare about Peter's plant wanting to eat him.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Henry sleeping in his room when he gets disturbed by Peter outside who was talking poetry language and tells him to stop it. Peter says the early catches the worm but Henry claims himself as the bird which makes Peter the worm and told him to drop the poetry, he'll come down and catches him with no excuses. Henry tries to sleep but then he hears Peter singing and told him to stop it now no peotry, singing or words then shuts his bedroom window but Peter starts to hum and he silents him once more then goes back to sleep. But then Henry hears the cello and yells 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!' , opening the title card.

Henry comes outside in the backyard to ask Peter what is he doing and what does he have in front of him. Peter introduced his new plant to Henry which Miss Lovely gave him and is making it into a happy plants at school by singing and playing music. As Peter goes inside to get plant food, Henry shows the plant his issue of kung-fu cockroaches, gives it a some crisp and playing rock music really loud while dancing waking Margaret up and she asked if he know what time it is and he says it's quality time.

Peter comes back and Henry says that his plant likes him which Margaret adds that he has the same IQ and calls it a vegetable but before Peter could say the plant's Latin name, Mum wakes up to find the boys up early and reminded Henry it is housework day. Henry goes inside and calls the plant a 'he' confusing Peter.

Henry tells the audience that if he had a plant, he would teach it to eat rubbish so he would never clean up again as he gets out the hoover. Then the doorbell rings and Henry finds the plant at the door. He picks it up and puts on the step but Peter comes and takes it upstairs while he was not looking. Henry thinks the plant can move by itself when he hears Mum tells him to hoover and he says 'This is exhausting'.

After finishing hoovering the floor in the sitting room, Henry finally falls asleep on the sofa while being fed up of Peter and his plant waking him up so early.

The nightmare starts with the doorbell ringing and Peter coming to get it. It's Gordon and Sam. Gordon asks Peter how his plant is. Peter shows him and Sam the plant. Sam says it's lovely. Gordon wonders how can it grow so big, and Peter says to feed it with nutritious food and he has been reading poetry. Mum soon comes and asks if there going to play any games. Peter says yes and asks the boys what they should play. Sam suggests Hide and Seek. Mum says, 'How lovely!' and asks if she should put the plant in the room. Peter says yes and says that he and Sam are seekers and Gordon is the hider. Gordon says, 'Goodie.'.

The boys start counting as Gordon goes upstairs and goes into Peter's room. He then screams and gets eaten by the plant. The boys finish counting and look for him. Sam looks in Peter's room and also screams and gets eaten by the plant. Peter wonders if he's in the cushion whilst Henry is sleeping. Henry soon wakes up. Henry moans that some of us are napping. Peter asks if he has seen Sam and Gordon. Henry says no, saying that the only thing he can see is the inside of his eyelids. Henry says he wants some sleep. He tells Peter to get out. Peter goes into his room, and everything is fine. Henry tells the plant that it's nearly feeding time and walks out.

The plant soon transforms into a man-eating plant and opens the window. Henry soon hears Moody Margaret and gets curious. So he walks to the window. He first looks straight. Then to the right. Moody Margaret is then seen saying, 'Get off I said!'. Her right leg is then seen caught with the plant and then her whole body. She goes into the air and starts to scream. Henry soon looks shocked and the plant eats Margaret off-screen. Henry wonders if he's dreaming or not.

Henry goes to Peter's room and sees the plant has eaten Margaret which he made celebrate but then it tries eat him. Henry tells it to eat other people he knows and shows a picture of Peter. Peter shows up as the plant shrinks to normal, and Henry tells him that his plant ate Margaret and it will eat you too but he laughs and Henry thinks that he is dreaming and leaves as Peter goes to feed his plant with water. Then the plant turns bigger turning into a monster again as Peter turns away thinking that the television shows Henry watches are to blame but when he turns around, the plant starts to attack and eat him up.

Henry was watching Mutant Max when he does not notice the plant comes inside until he turns around and begs it not to eat him because he will taste horrible but the plant comes closer to him and he screams in horror calling Mum as the nightmare comes to end. Mum comes in and when Henry wakes up, he realised it was all a dream the entire time. Mum tells Henry that she brought a present which is a plant of his own but he screams 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!', ending the episode.

  • Margaret could've tried to escape the man-eating plant, but she didn't.
  • This is the only episode when the boys appeared without Tidy Ted.
  • The music Henry plays on the radio is an instrumental of "I'm Horrid Henry".

Errors[]

  • When Gordon asks how Peter's plant is doing, his jumper is red, the same colour as Peter's.
  • Margaret shouted, 'Get off of me!' before the plant had even caught her leg.
  • When the plant had got Margaret's leg, there are two circles wrapped around her leg. In the next scene, there are three.
